People often ask us how do we clean. How do we clean carpet, how do we clean upholstery, how do we clean rugs and draperies? I find myself going into a big explanation that probably doesn’t even give my customer the most important piece of information they should know. We clean your furnishings conscientiously. We are not in a hurry. We care about the results. We want to be proud of our work. We want to you to be satisfied. We want you as a repeat customer and most of our business is repeat customers.

For those of you who like details I’ll give you a brief description of how we clean.

Wet Cleaning

The best way to clean is with water. If your fabric can be wet cleaned that is how we will clean it. First we will vacuum, then we will pre-spray spots to loosen that particular type of stain. Then we will spray the entire piece of furniture with a live enzyme that has a soil releasing agent, then we will rinse the furniture with a special additive. This additive “invites” or “attracts” the soil to it, taking or transferring the soil from your furniture into itself and out of your fabric. The rinse water is not recycled, and your furniture is left nearly dry.

We use the same wet method for cleaning carpeting.

Dry Cleaning

Dry cleaning means don’t use water, use dry cleaning solvent. The unfortunate problem is, that most everyday spots do not release with solvent cleaners. To dry clean furnishings we pre-spray in small areas with the dry cleaning solvent, we employ several different techniques to remove spots and heavily soiled areas. Then we vacuum out the solvent cleaner and repeat on the next area.

Silk draperies are cleaned this way, by hand, each spot given individual and detailed attention.
