How to Clean Rayon Rugs

How to Clean Rayon Rugs

Rayon in Rugs

Rayon rugs are difficult to clean. As they continue to grow in popularity, be prepared.

Clean Workout Clothes

“My favorite workout T-shirts come out of the laundry smelling good, but then after being worn for a couple hours they start to stink like a wet dog. What’s up with that? How can I get them really clean so the smell stays gone?”

Athletic clothes with stretch in them will pick up stray lint in the wash, and heavy items can lead to pilling and damage to more delicate athleisure-wear…

No fabric softener

A Must-See Outdoor Showhouse Space – Robert Allen Design

Robert Allen Designer Showhouse

Robert Allen Showroom

Alfresco Elegance

From the living room by Robert Frank to this loggia by Ederra Design Studio, the Pasadena Showcase House of Design was full of Robert Allen and Beacon Hill fabrics. For their concept, “Cocktails at Five,” designers Cynthia Lambakis and Samantha Williams used indoor/outdoor patterns in navy and turquoise hues from our new Wanderlust and Cloudscape collections.

“We wanted the fabrics to be sophisticated… blurring the lines between the interior and exterior spaces.”

Sheers enhanced the “living room” feel and framed the view for a happy hour setting as dreamy as the movie La La Land—which you may recognize the loggia from.

BALANCE

Balance in design is the visual equilibrium that is achieved by reconciling opposing forces in a composition. There are there are two primary ways to achieve this: symmetrical balance and asymmetrical balance.

Symmetrical balance is also called formal balance, because a form (formula) is used — a mirror image about a vertical axis. Use symmetrical balance to create formal, organized and orderly looks.
